TONE- the depth in a colour. from light to dark. a colour can be toned down and toned up to make it look better.

through out this term of art we finished our vegetable paintings and then we started a new painting. this painting was of a vegetable or a fruit. first we got a canvas, a picture, a pencil and we started drawing our picture on to a piece of paper then we traced our it on our canvas. once it was drawn onto or canvas we then started painting. after we painted it we used dots again. i found this fun because i went out side the box when i was doing my dots. i thought my painting turned out quite nice. although i found painting it was hard. im not sure why i just kept on thinking my painting look very bad but now i think it looks good.

LINES- lines can be very different. But look the same. There are many reason why lines are different. The size, the length, the shape, the colour, there are so many reasons. Lines are everywhere. In your home, in your town, in the forest. Everywhere.
TEXTURE- the texture is how things feel. lots of things feel different. everything has a texture
whether its smooth, rough or bumpy. There are many textures. COLOUR- Colour is the thing that brightens up the world. All around the world there is colour. Colour makes people happy and sometimes sad. In art colour is the thing that makes a piece of work perfect. Without colour the world would be dark and misrable. 
SHAPE- Everything is a shape. Without shapes the world would be straight. Shapes are things that bend, turn and flow.without shaes the world would also be very boring.
SIZE- everything is a size wether its small, large or in between. buildings are tall, ants are small, children are short, and elephants are large. there are all different sizes, small, tall, short, large, in between and many more they are just the main ones.

During art this year we made a painting of a vegetable. It might sound boring painting a vegetable, but it was actually quite fun. When we first started we got a A4 piece of cardboard and painted it black. After we had to select a vegetable then draw and paint it onto the black cardboard. This might sound really boring( which it wasn't) but the best part was when we got to start doing dots. When I started my dots I only outlined my vegetable because i was to afraid to do something on my background. On the second last lesson we had to do our paintings, I decided to do dots on my background. At the start I thought it looked really bad but once I had finished it looked amazing. I was very proud of myself when I had finished because I took a risk and it looked so good. :)
